A long, sun-dappled lunch with the owners of a wine estate in Burgundy made an unforgettable impression on the then-teenaged Leslie. The movie-like scene of laden tables and new friends playing boulle together (while sipping on a vintage red, of course) catalysed her lifelong passion for good food and great wine. These days, the only thing likely to distract Leslie from a bottle of Pinot Noir is her iPad - or any new technology gadget.

With a business degree from the University of Pretoria and ten years' experience in ecommerce, merchant banking and publishing consulting, Leslie's the kind of person who has big dreams - and makes them come true.

This self-confessed wine geek has found a way to marry her two passions in her work: Described as a catalyst, dot-connector and galvaniser, she founded and still manages popular wine websites Winedirectory and Wineweb. And she also runs eNetworks, a successful Cape Town-based internet service provider, with her partner Jonathan.

A down-to-earth Pretoria girl at heart, Leslie's other interests include travel, scuba diving, photography, reading, movies and keeping fit.
